We held an open campus event. We were very pleased that so many visitors showed interest in electron microscopy. Thank you very much for coming.
Our laboratory develops electron-microscopy-based methods for nanostructural characterization and uses them to understand the origins of functional properties in structural and functional materials. We specialize in 4D imaging that combines electron tomography, which visualizes nanostructures in three dimensions, with in-situ observations of thermal reactions and deformation behavior. Students also operate advanced electron microscopy facilities themselves.
